Your first Solana wallet: how to set it up and keep it safe before the $ODDI launch

A calm beginner's guide to what a Solana wallet is, which part you share, which part you never share, and how to stay safe while waiting for the $ODDI launch.

A wallet is the first thing you need to take part in the $ODDI launch. It is also where most beginner mistakes happen. This guide explains the basics in plain words, so you can prepare calmly.

What a Solana wallet is

A Solana wallet is an app that holds your tokens and lets you use them on the Solana network. To take part in the launch and receive rewards, you need one. Popular choices are Phantom and Solflare.

The launch has not happened yet, so there is nothing to rush. You can set up a wallet now and get used to it.

Get the launch news first

The launch date and the official contract address go to the waitlist first, by email.

Two things, two very different rules

Every wallet has two parts that people often mix up.

  • Public address. This is like an account number. It is safe to share. Others use it to send things to you.
  • Recovery phrase. This is the master key to your wallet. Whoever has it controls everything in it.

The rule is simple: the public address can be shared, the recovery phrase never.

How to treat your recovery phrase

  • Write it down on paper and keep it offline.
  • Never type it into a website, a form or a chat.
  • Never share it with anyone, not with support, not with a friend, not with us.
  • Never store it in a screenshot or a note on your phone.

Oddi Forge never asks for your recovery phrase or private key. If anyone claiming to be us asks for it, it is a scam.

Adding your wallet to your Oddi Forge account

Members add the public address of their wallet in their account, under Wallet, so rewards can be sent to it. You only need the public address for this. You find your account at oddiforge.com/account/, where you log in with an emailed link.

If a page ever asks for more than the public address, stop.

What we will never do

These rules apply to every message with our name on it:

  • We never ask anyone to send crypto.
  • We never DM first.
  • We never sell presale spots, early access or a whitelist. None exist.

The launch uses a public bonding curve on Raydium LaunchLab, with the same rules for everyone, the team included. There is no private route in.

The contract address: what is true today

The launch date is set for 1 December 2026 at 18:00 (UTC+1). There is no contract address yet. That means any address shared with you right now is fake.

On launch day, the contract address goes to the waitlist first. The only official address is the one published on oddiforge.com. Do not trust an address from a message, an ad or a direct message, even if the name and logo look right.

For more on this, read How to spot a fake $ODDI token before and after launch and How to check the $ODDI launch for yourself.

Check any token before you touch it

Oddi Forge has a free Token Safety Checker at oddiforge.com/check/. Paste a Solana token's contract address and it explains the red flags in plain words, using public chain data. You need no wallet and no sign-up.

It has limits. It cannot check liquidity locks, the team or whether a website is genuine. No red flags never means a token is safe.

A short checklist

  • Set up your wallet and write the recovery phrase on paper.
  • Keep that paper offline, and tell no one what is on it.
  • Share only your public address, and only where it is needed.
  • Ignore every contract address until it is published on oddiforge.com.
  • Treat any DM that mentions us as a scam.

A reminder

$ODDI is a community token with no promised value. Nobody should expect a profit, and crypto tokens can lose all their value. A safe wallet protects what you hold. It does not change that.
