Fake support DMs: how to spot them and what Oddi Forge will never ask you
Scammers often pose as 'support' and message you first. Here is how to recognise it, what Oddi Forge will never do, and what to do if a message feels wrong.
A message arrives out of nowhere. It says it is from "support" or "the team". It says there is a problem with your wallet, or an early-access offer just for you. This is one of the oldest tricks around a new token, and it is worth knowing before the $ODDI launch.
This post covers what a fake support DM looks like, what Oddi Forge will never do, and a few simple habits that keep you safe.
Why fake support works
The trick is simple. The scammer picks a moment when you might be unsure, such as a question in a group or a post about a project. Then they contact you privately and sound helpful.
The goal is always the same: get you to hand over access to your wallet. Sometimes they ask for your recovery phrase. Sometimes they send a link to a website that asks for it. Sometimes they ask you to send crypto first.
Anyone can copy a name, a logo and a friendly tone. None of that proves who is writing.

What Oddi Forge will never do
These rules do not have exceptions:
- We never DM first. The team does not message anyone out of the blue.
- We never ask for a recovery phrase or private key. Not in a DM, not on a website, not in a form.
- We never ask you to send crypto. Not to "verify" a wallet, not to "unlock" anything.
- There is no presale, early access or whitelist for sale. Anyone offering one is not us.
- We do not sell the contract address in private. The only official address is the one published on oddiforge.com.
If a message breaks even one of these rules, it is not from Oddi Forge.
Red flags in a "support" message
Some signs that a message is a scam:
- It reached you first, without you asking for help.
- It creates a problem: "your wallet has an issue" or "your account will be closed".
- It asks for your recovery phrase, or sends you to a site that does.
- It asks you to send crypto before you receive anything.
- It shares a contract address. Right now there is no contract address at all, so any address someone sends you is fake.
- It offers a private deal, a special spot or a shortcut.
One red flag is enough. You do not need to collect all of them.
Where the real information lives
The launch date is published on oddiforge.com: 1 December 2026 at 18:00 (UTC+1). Only the date on the website counts. The contract address goes to the waitlist first on launch day, by email, and is then published on the website.
Our official channels are the website, X at @oddiforge and the Telegram announcement channel and community group. The X bio links to oddiforge.com, where you find every official link.
In the Telegram group, the Oddi Forge bot answers when you mention it or reply to it. It is run by the AI agent Brigid and is labelled as AI. You can also message the bot yourself. That is you starting the chat, which is different from someone messaging you first. Messages with outside links or wallet addresses are removed automatically in the group.
What to do if you get a suspicious message
- Do not reply and do not click. Leave links alone.
- Never type your recovery phrase anywhere. Keep it on paper, offline. Our wallet guide explains how: Your first Solana wallet.
- Check the facts yourself. Compare what the message says with oddiforge.com. If the website does not say it, it is not true.
- Report it. Use the contact form at oddiforge.com/contact/ or the support chat. Please do not paste your phrase or private details into a report.
- Block the sender.
If you already shared your recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised. Do not use it again. Set up a new wallet and move what you can to it.

A calm rule to remember
Real help does not rush you, does not ask for secrets, and does not arrive uninvited. If you are unsure, stop and check oddiforge.com.
Oddi Forge is a community token with no promised value. It is not an investment, and crypto tokens can lose all their value. Staying safe starts with your own habits.
